The lotus flower, which grows out of the dirty mud at the bottom of the pond 

and blooms beautifully, is a symbol of Buddha's mercy.

When I painted this work, I did not imagine the current situation. 

I believe that there is always an exit, and I want to spend every day 

without forgetting to care for others. Please take care of everyone.

4月9日発売のペイントフレンドVol.42 に掲載して頂きました。「涼を呼ぶ和のデザイン」のコーナーです。
「蓮は泥より出でて泥に染まらず」

池の底の汚れた泥の中(不浄)から茎を伸ばし、美しい花を咲かせるハスの花(清浄)は、仏の智慧や慈悲の象徴とされています。
この作品を描いた時は、今の状況を想像だにしませんでした。必ず出口があると信じて、他を思いやる気持ちを忘れずに、日々過ごしたいと思っています。
